Ok so it's not the prettiest marina around, but it's small, quiet, and close to home. They have kayak rentals available for those who don't own their own. You're going to ahve to call for pricing or stop by. If i remember correctly it cost about $12-15 for an hour of kayaking. Something like that.
Also while you're in the area, one of the newer East Bay Regional Parks is literally right next door. The enterance is to the right, like 50ft before you enter into the Big Break Marina. This is a great area for site seeing, walking, fishing off the little pier, A play area for kids, and a building with historical displays inside. It's called the Big Break Regional Shoreline.

**I'd pay attention to the curfew times because it's a $350 fine if you're there past dark. Trust me. I learned the hard way.
